Concep Attend Case Study - The Lawtech Summit
"We decided to use an event app to help create better delegate & sponsor engagement. The team at Concep did an amazing job in getting the App to look and feel how we wanted, nothing was a problem and the end result was far superior to what we expected. The app created better engagement between all the attendees. We will definitely be using Concep Attend again at our 2016 Lawtech Summit."
George Katrivesis, Marketing Director, Chilli IQ
The Lawtech Summit has become the leading networking forum for Asia-Pacific based legal IT professionals to come together to exchange ideas and keep up to date with the ever changing technical, strategic and management issues required for law firm IT departments. To make a splash with their technology-focused C-Suite audience the Lawtech Alliance engaged Concep to provide an event mobile app for their 10th Annual Lawtech Summit and Awards in September 2015.
The Lawtech Alliance approached Concep with the following specifications:
- Deliver all conference and sponsor content to attendees via an event branded interface to cut down on printed collateral requirements.
- Implement an innovative solution for CIO and CTO level attendees which was mobile friendly across multiple platforms.
- Encourage and track delegate interactions during all phases of the conference, via messaging, questions, and feedback submitted. Provide new opportunities for delegates, speakers and organisers to connect with each other.
- Promote speakers, sponsors and partners within the app.
- Gather real time feedback upon conclusion of individual sessions as well as the conference itself.
- Engage delegates via social media channels to allow them to contribute to their personal conference story.
Concep partnered with the Lawtech Alliance to provide Concep Attend, our event app which is downloadable on iOS, Android and available via web-view to go hand-in-hand with the conference schedule. In the lead up, Concep managed the event build and content upload to ensure the best features were used for the intended audience.
Concep also managed pre-event deployment communications for registrants, via our Concep Send Email platform with instructions on how to download the app via device stores or directly through a unique QR code. The Summit was attended by 175 legal professionals, including CIOs, CTO’s and Managing Partners and the app attained a 70.4% adoption rate among these attendees.
Popular features included session management, gamification and the user contributed photo gallery, and the immediate feedback that the organiser’s received after every speaker session was invaluable. Banner advertising was offered to the 2 major sponsors of the summit and exhibitors appreciated the ability to highlight specific messaging to prospects via notifications.
By implementing the Game Centre, Concep and the event organizers from Chilli IQ ensured attendees interacted with all of the content shared via the app. By encouraging users to add specific sessions to their personal agendas, to ask questions of the speakers, and submit session feedback via the app, attendees were exposed to additional information about the conference agenda. Sponsors benefited by having the opportunity to allocate points to attendees that visited their stands. This helped drive their lead generation and prospecting activities.
The photo gallery and integration of the conference’s Twitter hashtag increased the social experience of the conference during the sessions and the evening networking event. Overall the app was used to drive delegate interaction and to bring the conference’s agenda and content to life.
- 109 messages sent across event through the app
- 25% participation in gamification
- 128 photos uploaded to online gallery ad 300 tweets sent through the app
