UI / Front End Web Developer

Due to continued growth the UK division and Head Quarters are now looking to expand their Creative team to meet increasing needs and expectations of their clients. You will be reporting to the head of the Creative and will work with the Account team and the Technical team to develop engaging and intuitive digital solutions. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player with strong skills in front-end development and hands on experience in building corporate websites and skins for dynamically generated pages using HTML/CSS. A strong appreciation for UI/UX, Accessibility, Usability and W3C standards is a must as well as the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage projects from production to delivery. The role is for someone with good communication and organization skills to ensure deadlines are met without constant supervision. As part of the creative team, you will also need to have a keen eye for details and be an advocate for HTML/CSS best practice.
Required skills:
- Strong understanding of web usability, customer journey and optimising conversions.
- Experience in designing standards compliant and hand-coded HTML + CSS user interfaces.
- Good understanding of Cross Browser and Email Client Compatibility.
- Able to work with Flash and good knowledge of ActionScript.
- Good knowledge of Photoshop.
- Good knowledge & experience of coding in Javascript & any associated libraries (JQuery, JSON, ExtJS, Dojo, Prototype, MooTools, Yahoo UI etc).
Desired skills:
- Familiarity with CMS systems like WordPress, Umbraco or Drupal.
- XML, AJAX and other web 2.0 client-side technologies.
- Knowledge of plug-ins and Social Networking API's would be useful.
- An understanding of the .Net framework and MS SQL.
- An understanding of REST and Web Service APIs.
