Announcing the arrival of…  Sadie

Sadie and her 5 littermates were discovered at around 2-3 weeks of age in a garbage can by one of the lab technicians at our Vet’s office. The entire staff at Millbrook Animal Clinic tirelessly nursed, bottle-fed, cleaned-up, socialized, and took care of this tiny orphaned family.

We were in the office with Phoebe getting a test done when the little gems were being fed. Phoebe was extremely curious about these little guys and gals, and the curiosity was quite mutual. After a few weeks of thinking, and a visit or two more to make sure that everyone (both two-legged and four-legged) were equally in agreement.

Sadie weighs in at under a pound and is only about 5-6 weeks old. We think that she has some Siamese in her, as two of her littermates were very Siamese… so we’re hoping that her gorgeous blue eyes will stay. She’s already quite happy with the automatic litter box (yeah!), is eating regularly (and heartily!) and is healthy, curious, fearless, and vocal… , as well as quite sweet and very trusting 

We’re only letting them be together when we’re around – Phoebe is 14x larger– but so far, it’s been mutual, gentle curiosity from each. We’re hopeful that these two girls will form a bond and become good friends.

We’re thrilled that Phoebe isn’t exhibiting any jealousy whatsoever. Then again, we’re making sure that she is smothered with attention and love!
